The medium and the filling amount of the horizontal bead mill

The bead mill can use glass balls, zirconia balls, and steel balls as grinding media. Each medium should use a uniform medium content. Before loading into the cylinder, the medium should be cleaned and selected in advance.

When grinding, a certain medium should be selected according to the dispersibility and viscosity of the material to be ground.

The principle is: the harder the material is, the harder the medium is selected. If the product is required to be very fine, the particle size of the medium should be correspondingly thinner and the filling amount should be increased.

For the horizontal bead mill, the filling amount of the medium should be about 85% of the volume of the cylinder. The specific filling amount should be determined in consideration of factors such as the particle size and the variety of materials.
