[Yushun Intelligence] Power Battery Development Action Plan White Paper Released!

On April 26, the China Automotive power battery Industry Innovation Alliance released a white paper on the high-quality development action plan for power batteries, which proposed the main development goals by 2025, mainly including improving the specific energy of batteries, reducing the cost of batteries, and building a power battery recycling ecosystem.

 

First, significantly improve the level of products. By 2025, the specific energy of the liquid battery is higher than 350Wh/kg, the number of cycles is higher than 1000 times or 12 years, the cost is less than 0.55 yuan /Wh, the capacity retention rate is not less than 80% in the -20℃ environment, and the power battery has more than 3C charging capacity. All-solid monomer specific energy up to 500Wh/kg, breakthrough key materials, electrodes and other core technologies, preparation technology, to form a technical reserve for engineering and industrialization;

 

The second is to build a safety guarantee system for the whole life cycle of the power battery system. The safety level of electric core level, system level, and vehicle level products has been greatly improved, and when thermal runaway occurs in battery products, the vehicle is required not to catch fire, and the safety accident rate has been greatly reduced. Ensure that the battery system does not catch fire in the case of thermal loss of the battery cell. Establish a power battery safety real-time dynamic monitoring, early warning and supervision system, improve the power battery safety accident handling mechanism, and realize the safety control of the power battery from production to decommissioning, recycling and reuse of the whole life cycle;

 

Third, build a large-scale intelligent flexible manufacturing system. By 2025, power battery large-scale manufacturing CPK > 1.67, the level of product consistency has been greatly improved, intelligent manufacturing has been fully implemented in the whole industry, a single production line through the improvement of the degree of intelligence, taking into account the production of multi-specification products, forming a production and sales scale of more than 60GWh, plus the total production and sales of energy storage batteries about 80GWh, 4-5 leading enterprises with international competitiveness;

 

The fourth is to build a power battery recycling ecosystem. It emphasizes the design concept of easy-to-manufacture and recyclable power batteries, strengthens the research and development of technical standards such as residual energy detection, residual value assessment, cascade utilization, and safety management, and formulates relevant norms. By 2025, a number of power battery echelon utilization and recycling enterprises with an annual recycling capacity of 1 million tons will be cultivated and formed, and the recycling rate of lithium metal will reach more than 95%.

 

Fifth, build a low-carbon green power battery industry system. Greatly improve the level of power battery equipment, use large-scale, high-intelligence, high-energy efficiency equipment technology, reduce power battery materials, battery cells, battery systems, recycling and other industrial chain energy consumption, based on information and intelligent technology, promote the implementation of power battery production system carbon footprint management, promote the reduction of carbon intensity, and effectively control the total carbon emissions. The carbon footprint of the whole industrial chain is leading;

 

The sixth is to promote the standardization of power batteries and systems. Through the standardization of power battery cells, battery packs and replacement battery packs, promote the improvement of production efficiency, improve product quality and recycling level, and by 2025, the power battery cells will form 8-12 standardized specifications and sizes to accelerate the promotion and application of replacement batteries;

 

Seventh, build a system of domestic and international development. Take the domestic and international development of new energy vehicles as an opportunity, make full use of both domestic and international markets and two kinds of resources, and build a new development pattern of the power battery industry. By 2025, the power battery industry will continue to maintain a leading position in the world, and overseas production and sales will reach more than 30%.
