Shanghai ENJIE Signed A 2023 Lithium Battery Separator Supply Guarantee Agreement With China Innovation Airlines

On the evening of December 1, Enjie Co., Ltd. (002812) announced that Shanghai Enjie, a holding subsidiary of the company, signed the "2023 Supply Guarantee Framework Agreement" with China Innovation Airlines, in order to ensure the demand for high-end wet lithium battery separators in 2023, China Innovation Airlines will give priority to purchasing most of the separator film products from Shanghai Enjie under the same conditions, and the specific procurement is subject to the order. The agreement runs from the date of signing until December 31, 2023.
In January this year, Shanghai Enjie and China Innovation Airlines signed the "2022 Guarantee and Supply Framework Agreement", agreeing that China Innovation Airlines will promise to purchase from Shanghai Enjie in 2022, and Shanghai Enjie promises to supply lithium battery separators with an amount of no more than 2.5 billion yuan to China Innovation Airlines.
In addition, Enjie has also signed procurement agreements with a number of car companies and battery companies this year.
In January, Shanghai ENJIE signed a production and pricing contract for lithium battery separator film products with a large overseas automobile company, agreeing that Shanghai ENJIE and its subsidiaries will guarantee that the supply quantity will not exceed 1.65 billion square meters to this cooperative customer from 2022 to 2024, and the guaranteed supply quantity will not exceed 900 million square meters per year from 2025.
In May, SEMCORP Hungary Korlátolt Felel?sség? Társaság signed the Purchasing Agreement with ACC to supply approximately EUR 655 million of lithium battery separator products to ACC from 2024 to 2030.
Enjie, formerly known as Yunnan Innovation and New Materials Co., Ltd., was listed on China A-shares in September 2016. Before 2018, the main business of ENJIE Co., Ltd. was BOPP film and specialty paper, and after major asset restructuring in 2018, it added a new wet diaphragm business through the acquisition of Shanghai ENJIE.
Under the large-scale release of production capacity in 2021, the diaphragm output of Enjie Co., Ltd. exceeded the 3 billion square mark. During the period, Enjie's leading position in the wet diaphragm market was further consolidated, and the market share of wet diaphragm exceeded 50%.
At the same time, the production capacity of lithium battery separator of ENJIE Co., Ltd. ranks first in the world. By the end of 2021, ENJIE has laid out diaphragm production bases in Shanghai, Wuxi, Jiangxi, Zhuhai, Suzhou, Changzhou, Chongqing, Hungary and other places, with a production capacity of 5 billion square meters
In the first three quarters of this year, ENJIE achieved operating income of 9.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 73.81%; The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 3.226 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 83.77%.
It is worth noting that on November 21, Enjie announced that Mr. Paul Xiaoming Lee, chairman of the board, and Mr. Li Xiaohua, vice chairman and general manager, were placed under residential surveillance at a designated location by the public security organ for related matters.
As for the reasons for Paul Xiaoming Lee and Li Xiaohua's residential surveillance, on December 1, Enjie replied on the investor relations platform, "From the information available to the company, it is not clear what the matter is involved." The company's current production and operation are normal, the business strategy and established policy remain unchanged, and it will continue to cultivate the new energy industry with lithium battery separator film business as the core in the future. ”
